The Chino Valley Democratic Club will meet on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 7 p.m., in a hybrid in-person/ Zoom online meeting. On the agenda: We will host a representative from local Emmy award winning KVCR public media outlet, addressing the recent Washington administration defunding of the Center for Public Broadcasting (CPB) which has led to its announced dissolution. The CPB was a major funding source for viewer subscribed services like PBS and NPR. Many rural public broadcasting services may be cut off. KVCR is one such local that may be a threatened
TV and Radio affiliate that is a recipient of this funding.We will also share lessons learned from recent city-wide actions like Rage against the Regime rally, local school board twists and turns, and cover local and National events. The public is invited.
